HOW DO WE FIND OUR INDUCTEES?

Each June, the Board releases the official nomination form and invites members of the Concord HS Community to nominate candidates through mid-September. Nominations are assessed on an ongoing basis during this period. The Board formally acknowledges nominators by expressing appreciation for their engagement and confirming receipt of their submissions. Following this, each nominee is notified of their nomination, provided information about the organization’s mission, and asked about their willingness to be recognized and participate in scheduled events. The events include a school visit to share their experiences and insights with current CHS students, and attendance at the Recognition Ceremony.

 

Once the nomination period concludes in mid-September, nominees’ biographies are circulated to all Board members for their review. During the following month, the Board members independently review the nominees’ biographies and vote for inductees at the October meeting. Inductees are congratulated by phone and their availability to participate in the induction events is confirmed. Upon confirmation, names of the inductees are formally announced to public.

 

The inductees are invited to participate in a Concord HS hosted event on a school day that includes a panel discussion followed by subject area breakout sessions. The Board welcomes the inductees at CHS in the morning and together they assemble in the Raider Room for introductions and food/beverage. At the appointed time, the Board ushers the inductees to the auditorium where students and faculty are assembled to participate in a panel discussion. It is here that the inductees are given time to share their experiences and insights. At the conclusion of the panel discussion, the inductees are ushered to their breakout session where they have been paired with a teacher and students. In this more intimate setting, the students are able to interact with the inductees face to face.
